On my way home from work on Friday 22nd April I was surprised to see a plume of smoke rising into the air above Ilfracombe. I attempted to make my way towards the location but the way was blocked.
Quickly I drove home and grabbed my camera (unusually I did not have it with me this day! and made my way with Alison and Dawn. The following images are what greeted me.......
Then on Monday this was the scene
Fortunately no-one was injured otherwise it could have been a very different story.
