On one of our earliest trips to Bulgaria we stopped in a hotel that was extremely dated. It looked like it had never been decorated / modernised since the 1960s. Fortunately we were only stopping there for the one night because we were not able to take over the apartment until the next day. We had booked this hotel via the internet and imagine our surprise when we saw this sign on the door......
