"Performers Strike Back"
In early 2017 it was announced that both Ilfracombe's Landmark Theatre and Barnstaple's Queens Theatre were affected by the financial crisis of the time. North Devon Theatre advised that there was an impending threat of closure of one or perhaps both the venues.
A concert was very quickly conceived and staged in front of the Landmark Theatre in a bid to raise awareness of the situation and to attempt to save the two important cultural centres of North Devon.
Being a resident of Ilfracombe and having an entertainment background naturally I was concerned about the future of the theatres and was on hand to photograph the performers as they "Strike Back"
